Our Story

Deon Dickey and Andy Vasquez are lifelong Encinitas residents who are passionate about hospitality and community. Deon is a third-generation firefighter and has over 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Andy is a third-generation Leucadia native and has a wealth of diverse talents and experiences in the hospitality industry.

They are both excited to be a part of the A Little Moore Cafe team and look forward to bringing their passion for hospitality and service to their guests. They believe that A Little Moore Cafe has the potential to be a beloved community gathering place, and they are committed to making it a reality.

Deon's grandfather instilled in him a love of service, and he started working in the restaurant industry in high school. He has worked in every position from dishwasher to bartender, and he has a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful restaurant. He is also a firefighter with the San Diego Fire Department, and he is passionate about serving his community.

Andy's grandparents instilled in him a love of hospitality, and he grew up watching his grandfather build and run a successful hotel and restaurant in San Vicente, Baja California. He is a licensed realtor, so he has a deep understanding of California business contracts and legal documents. He is also familiar with the hospitality industry, having worked in restaurants and hotels throughout his life.

Deon and Andy are both committed to using fresh, local ingredients at A Little Moore Cafe. They want their guests to feel like they are coming home when they visit, and they believe that using fresh, local ingredients is the best way to create a truly memorable dining experience.

They are also committed to being involved in the Leucadia community. They want A Little Moore Cafe to be a place where people can come together and connect with each other. They plan to host a variety of events at the cafe, including community dinners, art shows, and live music.
